The PATTU weaving of Rajasthan is a time honoured craft practised by the Meghwal community. Constructed in bright tones in an extra weft technique, PATTU shawls feature alluring geometric patterns resembling huts, strips, trees, birds, etc. The textiles woven for this project are made on a pit-loom in a blend of cotton and merino wool that strikingly bring together the exquisite craftsmanship of the region. The pieces are handwoven by Khemaram, Dinesh, Shankar Ram and Kheta Ram of Glocal Weaves.
